Good morning fellow Christians! Today we’re looking at the importance of morning prayers. It was customary of Jesus to pray in the morning as we are told in MARK 1:35-37: “VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING, WHILE IT WAS STILL DARK, JESUS GOT UP, LEFT THE HOUSE AND WENT OFF TO A SOLITARY PLACE, WHERE HE PRAYED. 36 SIMON AND HIS COMPANIONS WENT TO LOOK FOR HIM, 37 AND WHEN THEY FOUND HIM, THEY EXCLAIMED: “EVERYONE IS LOOKING FOR YOU!”

Mornings are usually the quiet sceneries that allow you to have a deeper connection with your inner-self and your surroundings thus reverberating that perfect peace. I always sense that when my mind and atmosphere are still, my message echoes well in my ears and my spirit is on high alert to listen to God. So I find morning prayers to be more effective.

Praying in the morning also allows you to start your day on a good note. I always make it a habit to pray for people, my colleagues, and clients that we may treat each other with fairness and love. This is important for your well-being as your environment becomes conducive for growth and having a sense of being important in your community. Pray for your wishes and dreams, pray for your journey to work and encounters with others. You need that.

However, I must say, whether you pray in the morning or afternoon, you should always call on the Holy Spirit to habit your presence, a spirit-filled atmosphere is one that bears perfect peace and allows you to see the wonders of God. You should always strive to have experience with God and not just murmuring or shouting words. Our father is always keen to hear and to dwell in our presence.

I really pray that God reveals himself to all of us.

Let us Pray: “God Abba Father, thank you for the example of Jesus, who taught us how to pray. Father, help us to imitate his example in ways that are wise. May we learn to communicate with you –indeed, to commune with you – regularly and deeply. May our conversation with you begin in the morning and continue until we go to bed. Help us, Lord, to encourage each other in prayer and to do so with grace and love. Amen. “
