Woohoo! Friday is here. To think about the topics we’ve covered and the things we have done this week, I cannot be more grateful to God. If you have spiritual eyes, you will notice that God is moving us into new heights and he is welcoming you to become a part of it – no matter where you are. I really hope all of you stay on and we march together to the heaven’s gate.
So today is Friday, we really not looking at scripture per se but we’re saying a prayer for the things that we want God to do for us. So here’s what I have in mind, we can alternate the Friday prayers amongst each other meaning you can submit your prayers to me and I will schedule them to be posted every day, one after one another. For today’s prayer, I have taken it from a famous book of David Legge, Encountering God – Part 2, The atmosphere of encountering God. You should read that book, by the way, very amazing things to learn about the presence of God. So let us pray: Please take your time, stop everything you are doing, switch off your TV, stop eating and say this prayer with me:
“Abba Father, We thank You for being with us on past occasions, we thank You for the sense that You are here already before we have even arrived – and yet, Lord, we long for You to intensify the sense of Your presence; Lord, that we might become very aware that You are personally here.
So, Lord, we say: Come to us, abide with us, come into our midst. Oh, send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead us, let them bring us to Your holy hill. Come, Lord, come Holy Spirit, bring the very presence of the Father and the Son into our midst, indeed into our hearts. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we take authority over every other ungodly presence that may be here, Satan we rebuke you and your kingdom, by the power of the blood of the Lamb, and in the name of the Lord Jesus, we bind you.
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge my need of You, and I accept You now as Lord and Saviour of my life, my Redeemer and my Deliverer. I invite You now to be Lord of every area of my life. I thank You that Your blood was shed so that I might be free and cleansed. I commit myself to You now, in body, soul, spirit, and everything that I am, and everything that I have. Amen’.
